LV WINS HOMERUN DERBY OVER CHISOX 8-7. 8-12-72. ATT-24288 TEMP-74 DEG
A rarity in The Vegas Desert. There was a light rain at the beginning of the contest between LV & CHI. Gametime temp was only 74 & when the rain stopped a brisk wind was blowing out to left enabling normally caught flyballs to become BIGFLYS(aka homeruns). The Sox hit 4 HRS including 2 by Walt(No Neck)Williams. For The Gamblers Antwaun(Basher)Belle, Barrack Bonds,& Obadiah(Gambler)Gamble all went deep.It was Gamble's 1st homer since being acquired from The Phils at the trade deadline. Belle kept on pace to equal or tie Roger Maris's alltime hr record of 61. Belle now has 44. Weather reports are compliments of weatherunderground. Schedules & lineups for The Gambler opponets are compliments of baseball-reference. The Vegas Community seems to be getting pennant fever as 75503 fans turned out for the 4 game series. The Gamblers are now 77-33 & have a 14 game lead over The Sox(62-46).
