In between games of a twi-night doubleheader The Gamblers announced they acquired slugging outfielder Obadiah Gamble from The Phillies just hours before The end of the trading deadline. In exchange The Phils get of/1b Bo Chance & starting pitcher Keith Hill(9-5). Hill was supposed to start game 2 of the dh but instead was cleaning out his locker. Chance was recalled from AAA Oakland on 5/31 & started out on a tear going 18-48 but has been mired in a slump the last month. He was hitting.241)34-141 overall & only .143 with RISP. John Bibby will move into the rotation to repace Hill. To replace Hill on the roster The Gamblers are recalling Alvin Rhodes from Oakland. Rhodes was with the Gamblers earlier this year but was optioned to Oakland when Curt Young was recalled. Both Gamble & Rhodes are expected to be in uniform for the finale of the 3 game series tomorrow night.
